Anyone who wants to spend the day on a nice mountain hike should choose Molden (1,116 m above sea level). The view from here is unique both outwards and inwards of the fjord and towards peaks and glaciers in all directions.
Most people will spend 2-3 hours from the parking lot to the top. If you drive from Luster Fjordhytts, follow county road 55 past Gaupne and in total about 15 km until the sign “Mollandsmarki” indicates that you should turn left. The road leads up to Krossen, where there is parking at a height of about 500 meters. Further, the path is clearly marked up to the top.
