Have you heard about the unique Norwegian fjords? Are you interested in national parks, or would you like to visit UNESCO World Heritage Sites? If the answer is yes, you should plan a trip to Luster, which has all this and much more to offer!
Luster Fjordhutten offers accommodation in simple and comfortable cabins at the bottom of the fjord, with a magnificent view. From the cabins you can take day trips in all directions, enjoy the fjord and mountain nature, study cultural heritage, go to glaciers and peaks, swim in the fjord or in modern bathing facilities and relax without stress and hassle.

Many people have probably seen both larger and finer cabins, but they work well, and the experience means that guests spend most of their time in Luster to look at all the attractions the area has to offer, and not to stay inside the cabin all day long. Most people take short day trips to fjords, valleys, mountains and glaciers, but some find yourself traveling by car far into Jotunheimen, to the tourist magnet Geiranger, to Flåm to follow the famous iron track there or head to our town, Bergen, which is just four hours drive away and 260 kilometers away towards the coast.
The cottage facility is located 60-70 meters from the other side with a beautiful promenade with benches between them. From the benches you can enjoy the view of, and right up, the dunes from one of the highest and finest waterfalls in the country - Feigefossen - which lies directly across the other side of the fjord and plunges vertically 218 metres out from the valley above.

The cabins, which are numbered from 1 to 8, are located on the second floor with a veranda directly facing the fjord. There is room for five people. There is a bedroom with two single beds and a loft with ladder up along the wall to three airy sleeping places. The cottage contained a combined stove and kitchen, shower and toilet, and in total guests have at their disposal about 38 well-used square meters.

The cabins from 9 to 12 are somewhat larger and are located at ground level. A cabin into a hallway with bedroom for two on one side and shower/WC on the other. Out towards the fjord there is a combined stove and kitchen, and if one goes further out onto the veranda, one can jump straight into the Lustrafjorden! From the top there is a staircase up to the second floor, where there is a bedroom with a double bed and a single bed. Here, guests have about 45 square meters in total at their disposal.

Those who holiday using Luster Fjord Huts as their base, have plenty to fill their days. Most people choose to take car trips along the fjord, into the surrounding valleys and up into the mountains. All places where nature is most impressive – you’ll love it!
Luster and its surroundings, with its rich cultural history, has much to offer. Many have heard of Urnes Stave Church: dating from about 1130 it is the oldest in the country and famous throughout the world. It can be seen on the other side of the fjord from the cabins and makes an excellent objective for a day trip, either using the ferry from Solvorn or by driving north-east along the fjord to Skjolden and taking the fjordside road on the other side, a stretch called the "romantic road" by many and where there is much to see along the way.
